Blake Van Cleve gives Little Rock a veteran relief arm with a sidearm look and swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Little Rock right-hander Blake Van Cleve has worked as a grad-student reliever with 16 appearances and a 0-1 record, and his mix of deception and strike-throwing makes him more than a box-score arm, even with an 8.62 ERA and 15.2 innings logged. He’s a righty who can also flatten a lineup when his sidearm slot is working, but the run prevention has been inconsistent, so he fits best as an experienced bullpen piece rather than an instant shutdown guy.
