Marist's Rising Left-Handed Strikeout Leader with Elite Spin
Andrew Speranza, the 5'10" sophomore left-hander for Marist Red Foxes, is a data-driven standout who led the team with 53 strikeouts in the 2026 season while posting a 2.37 ERA and 84 mph max fastball velocity with elite 2,213 avg spin rate. His differentiator isn't just stats—it's his relentless intensity and sharp personality on the mound, walking back-to-back hitters in high-pressure seventh-inning situations to spark wins, showing he thrives under fire. Though he gave up five runs in one game against Manhattan, his ability to recover and dominate (36 strikeouts in 35 innings) proves he's a reliable fit for teams needing a lefty with grit, high spin, and a winner's mindset. You should care because he's not just a pitcher—he's a game-changer who turns tough moments into triumphs.
