Howard freshman center Danas Kazakevicius brings efficient interior scoring and feel
In the 2025-26 season, Danas Kazakevicius has been a low-usage but efficient Howard big man, averaging 3.7-3.8 points, 2.4-2.5 rebounds and about 1.0 assist in roughly 15 minutes per game while shooting about 47.5%-48.5% from the field.[1][2][5] His best differentiators are his passing touch for a center, solid free-throw shooting, and flashes of upside in bigger moments, including a 19-point, 5-rebound outing that helped him earn MEAC Rookie of the Week honors earlier in the season.[17][19] He looks like a fit for a team that values size, simple finishing, and a young interior player who can grow into more responsibility without needing the ball to be effective.[1][3]
