Maddie Rice is UMass Lowell’s do-it-all glue guard with scoring pop and board-crashing toughness
Rice, a 5-8 senior guard for UMass Lowell, has shown a clear upward trajectory: in the 2024-25 season she averaged 6.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and early in 2025-26 she was already leading the River Hawks at 11.3 points per game. She stands out for her hustle, rebounding from the guard spot, and efficient shot-making when she’s locked in, including a career-high 23-point, 11-rebound outing in November 2025. She also brings captain-type energy and left-handed versatility, which makes her a strong fit for teams that value grit, multi-positional effort, and a player who can swing momentum without needing the ball every possession.
