Dontez Fagan brings veteran cornerback polish and plug-and-play toughness to WVU
Dontez Fagan profiles as a steady, experienced West Virginia cornerback who already showed he can hold down a starting role: in the 2024 season, he played in 13 games with six starts, finished with 37 tackles, 23 solo stops, and 3 pass breakups, and his career totals include 58 tackles and 7 pass breakups. He looks like the kind of transfer who raises the floor fast—physical, assignment-sound, and durable enough to handle a full season. If a team wants a mature CB with proven FBS snaps and no flash, all function, Fagan fits the bill.
