Kalista Birkenstock brings elite speed and disruptive outfield range to UCF
Birkenstock is a high-upside UCF transfer whose calling card is **game-changing speed**: in her 2025 freshman season at FGCU, she hit .429 in a limited sample, scored 13 runs, and went 23-for-28 on stolen-base attempts across 41 games. Her high school résumé backs that profile too, with 137 hits, 122 runs, and 109 steals, plus the kind of effort playmaking UCF highlighted on defense. She looks like the type of athlete who can change the game without needing volume at-bats.
