Quinn Urwiler was a tackling machine for NIU in 2025
In the 2025 season, Quinn Urwiler turned into a true tone-setter for Northern Illinois, leading the FBS in solo tackles per game (5.92) and ranking third nationally in total tackles per game (11.8) while finishing with 141 stops, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, an interception, a pass breakup, and a forced fumble. The best part? He did it as a former walk-on who grew into a captain and all-conference linebacker, which screams toughness, consistency, and trust from coaches. If you want a high-motor, physical run defender who lives around the ball, he’s your kind of guy.
