Gavin Hatfield is a depth-back with upside in Wagner’s run game
In the 2024 season, Wagner RB Gavin Hatfield appeared in three games and totaled 2 carries for 3 rushing yards, so the box score is tiny—but his profile is that of a compact 5'10", 195-pound back who fits a physical, team-first role. The upside case is about projectability, not production: he’s still early in his college career, and his value will come from pass protection, toughness, and earning more trust in a crowded backfield. Right now, he looks more like a developmental fit than a featured weapon.
