In the 2024 season, Tate Jernigan did not see any playing time, and his Tulane résumé remains small: 5 career carries for 17 yards across 2022-2023, including a brief 2023 appearance with 8 yards on one rush.[7][1][2] His differentiator is pedigree and versatility more than volume—he previously played at Trinity, earned AAC All-Academic honors at Tulane, and has shown he can produce efficiently when given touches.[7] At 5-foot-7 and around 176 pounds, he profiles as a compact, change-of-pace back who fits best as a developmental depth option rather than an immediate feature-piece back.[10][5]
