Aiden Alvarez brings transferable arm talent and proven run production upside to West Georgia
Aiden Alvarez is an interesting West Georgia pitching addition because the public profile is a bit mixed: UWG lists him as a pitcher who did not appear in any games in 2026 and says he transferred from Polk State, while earlier recruiting/profile data shows a versatile right-handed arm with outfield experience and measurable pitch traits, including a fastball up to 87.2 mph and a sharp breaking-ball mix. [4][6][7] He also comes with a strong competitive profile from his JUCO résumé and academic background, which suggests a player who can fit a development program if the staff wants a low-drama, toolsy depth arm with upside rather than an immediate finished-product starter.
