Zach Crotchfelt became Troy’s October-style ace out of the bullpen
In the 2026 season, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound left-hander delivered a breakthrough year for Troy: 7 wins, a 3.49 ERA, and 81 strikeouts in 67 innings, then shined in the postseason with 2 wins and 12 strikeouts in Sun Belt tournament play. He’s a power lefty who handled high-leverage innings, retired the final 13 of 15 batters he faced against Miami, and even closed Troy’s College World Series win over Ole Miss with a perfect ninth. If you want a tough, proven, big-game arm, he’s your guy.
