Will Jones is Davidson’s homegrown captain with sturdy, do-everything upside
In the 2025 season, Davidson RB Will Jones turned an expanded role into 36 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown, plus 9 catches for 48 yards; he also scored in 2024 as a freshman, which points to steady role growth rather than flashy volume. The big differentiators: he’s a 5-foot-11, 205-pound junior, a 2026 team captain, and a former three-year high-school captain with a reputation for leadership, versatility, and toughness. He looks like a grinder who fits a culture-first program and can help in both the run and pass game.
