Nicholas Delvecchio brings steady infield value and timely bats for LIU
Nicholas Delvecchio is a redshirt sophomore second baseman/third baseman for LIU who has been a useful, versatile infield piece in the 2026 season, hitting .313 with a .795 OPS in the Sharks’ cumulative stats while adding 15 hits, 8 runs, 9 RBIs and 8 walks. He has also shown some value on the bases and in pressure spots, including a pinch-hit single against Georgia in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The big selling point: dependable contact, infield flexibility, and enough grit to fit a lineup that wants table-setters who don’t blink.
