Alyssa Herrera brings contact bat, valuable starts, and catcher depth to Cal
In the 2024 season, Alyssa Herrera played in 40 games with 29 starts for Cal and produced 21 hits, 14 RBIs, eight runs, and four doubles, giving the Golden Bears a steady, game-ready catcher option. Her value is less about loud power and more about reliability, workload flexibility, and being a trusted piece in the lineup. For a team looking for a composed catcher who can contribute without needing the offense built around her, Herrera fits as a solid, low-drama addition with upside if her bat continues to develop.
