Taylor McKean is giving Tarleton a real two-way-ish boost in the circle
In the 2026 season, freshman right-hander Taylor McKean has flashed starter upside for Tarleton State, including a complete-game win over Furman and a 3-1 start early in the year, while also showing she can work in relief when the Texans need innings. Her profile leans on toughness and versatility more than pure overpowering numbers: she’s been trusted in multiple game states, earned Academic All-WAC honors, and comes in with a strong high-school résumé. The separator? Poise, competitiveness, and enough command to keep her in the mix as a building block.
