James Snipes brings bullpen value and swing-and-miss upside for MVSU
James Snipes is a senior pitcher for Mississippi Valley State who has flashed real relief value, including a save in 2023 and a win in relief in 2025, and he was still getting bullpen work in 2026. His appeal is simple: he looks like a competitive, team-first arm who can handle leverage innings and give a staff innings when needed. The risk? His recent usage suggests he’s been more of a situational reliever than a dominant, high-volume stopper, so he fits best as a dependable depth piece with some late-inning bite.
