Grant Winter is a developmental Syracuse DL with size and upside
Grant Winter entered Syracuse as a freshman defensive lineman from St. Paul’s School, listed around 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-4 and 240-247 pounds, but he did not appear in any games in the 2024 season, so the spotlight is still on projection rather than production[2][3][4]. His appeal is the classic “wait, that frame can do what?” profile: long enough to set an edge, sturdy enough to add mass, and young enough to be molded by a power-conference staff[2][3]. For a team, he reads as a high-upside developmental fit rather than an immediate plug-and-play impact player[2][3].
