Walter Ellis brings efficient scoring punch and veteran wing size to Grand Canyon
In the 2022-23 season at Grand Canyon, Walter Ellis was a steady perimeter threat for the Lopes, averaging 4.9 points per game in ESPN’s stat line with 43.1% shooting, while FOX Sports listed him at 35 made threes — a sign of a guard who can space the floor without needing the ball a ton. At 6-foot-5, he offers good size for a wing, and the GCU program has described him as a three-point specialist, which fits the profile of a low-ego, plug-and-play shooter who helps good teams breathe.
