Jelle van der Lelie brings innings-eating experience and a starter’s profile to Arkansas State
In the 2024 season, van der Lelie worked as a regular starter for Arkansas State and logged significant innings, which matters because teams value right-handers who can take the ball and stabilize a rotation, even when the results are uneven. His profile suggests durability, competitiveness, and enough strikeout ability to keep him in the mix as a useful depth arm or matchup starter, while his 6'0", 210-pound build and right-right profile give him the look of a traditional power pitcher. The fit question is simple: if you need experience and workload over flash, he’s a credible option.
