Redshirt-Freshman Glue Guy With Clutch Juice
Gavin Ripp looks like a rising fit at San Diego because he brings size, versatility, and a knack for doing the little things that swing games. In the 2025-26 season, he averaged 4.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 17.1 minutes per game, while also flashing clutch shot-making in a January win over Washington State, where he scored the final seven points and hit pressure free throws. At 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds, he profiles as a physical forward who rebounds, defends, and plays with poise — the kind of under-the-radar connector coaches love.
