Reagan McCluskey brings elite catching pedigree to DBU
A highly regarded 2025 catcher for Dallas Baptist, McCluskey arrived with real buzz: Perfect Game rated him the No. 1 catcher in Tennessee and No. 16 nationally, and Prep Baseball Report called him an intriguing backstop with a strong bat and skill behind the plate. In his prep profile, he showed legit power metrics, including a 92 mph max exit velocity, but also some athleticism limitations, so his fit is about upside at the plate and reliability at catcher more than pure speed. He looks like a gritty, high-ceiling DBU add.
