Veteran G/F with Proven Rebounding Prowess from Kent State Days
Gary Akbar, a 6-3 G/F from Kent State, showcased solid bench production in the 2014-15 season, averaging 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds across 32 games with 13.4 minutes per outing, starting seven contests as a junior. Earlier at UTPB around 2016, he dominated with 14.2 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 2.6 APG, and 56.5% FG in Heartland Conference play, notching back-to-back double-doubles. High school star at Dunbar (16.0 PPG, 11.5 RPG in 2011-12), his rebounding tenacity and efficiency make him a gritty forward—perfect fit for teams needing blue-collar intensity, though recent stats are scarce post-2016.
