Nolan Welke is a Bat-to-Ball Spark Plug for St. Thomas
Nolan Welke has emerged as a useful offensive piece for St. Thomas in 2026, showing enough bat-to-ball ability and competitive edge to contribute in big series spots; in a May 8, 2026 win over South Dakota State, he went 3-for-4 in a slugfest, a nice sign of live at-bats and lineup versatility. Recruiting/skill-profile sources back up the tools: Perfect Game lists him as a Class of 2025 hitter, while Prep Baseball Report shows a strong 96.6 mph max exit velocity and a 6.77-second 60, suggesting real contact-to-gap upside with athletic enough movement to handle the outfield. If you want a scrappy, athletic left-right impact bat with room to keep rising, he’s worth a look.
