Nico Newhan brings middle-infield pop and JUCO thunder to Nebraska
Newhan looks like a high-impact add for Nebraska: in the 2025 season at Grossmont College, he hit .380 with 19 home runs and 61 RBI in 43 games, and Nebraska’s roster notes also point to a .438 prep résumé with 39 doubles and 25 homers over his high-school career[4][12][8]. The biggest draw is his right-handed power from the infield, plus a track record of producing loud contact and run production; the upside is real if he translates that bat to Big Ten pitching[6][3].
