Sydney Groves is Boise State-tested power, now mashing for Idaho State
Sydney Groves has been a thunderbolt for Idaho State in the 2026 season, finishing with 18 home runs, 58 RBI, a .342 average and .434 on-base percentage while handling first base at a .978 fielding clip. Her biggest differentiator is game-breaking pop: she led the Big Sky in home runs, total bases and slugging during the season, then kept delivering in big moments, including a title-clinching three-run homer against Montana. A transfer with proven Division I production and postseason experience, Groves looks like a middle-order bat who raises the ceiling of any lineup.
