NFCA Gold Glove OF with Elite Defensive Intensity and Preseason All-Big West Honors
Kate Verhoef (Cal State Fullerton, OF, 5'7" L/L) is a defensive powerhouse who earned the 2024 NFCA Gold Glove and 2026 NFCA Gold Glove (Right Field) honors, recording 54 putouts with a .982 fielding percentage across 57 games in the 2026 season. Her differentiator isn't just stats—it's her relentless intensity: she dives for balls (seen in #RoadToWCWS clips), mic'd up during practice showing vocal leadership, and slashed .296/.327/.296 in 2025 while hitting .346 in Big West play. No injury history reported; her personality is fiery, team-oriented, and data-driven (consistent 12.3 batted ball stat). She's a perfect fit for any team needing a high-intensity, vocal outfielder who elevates defense and morale.
