RHP with real college-level arm talent, but still ironing out the command
In the 2026 season, Caleb Martinek’s profile at New Haven is that of a right-handed pitcher with size and upside, listed at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds and back for his redshirt junior year[1][2]. He’s shown he can help in relief, including a win-clinching outing on April 15, 2026, but his early-season line also shows some volatility, with runs allowed in short appearances against Missouri and TCU[3][4]. The appeal is the frame and the willingness to attack in big moments; the question for a staff is whether his consistency and command can catch up to the raw stuff[1][3][4].
