Levent Eldem gives FGCU a power arm with pro-sized frame and swing-and-miss upside
Eldem is a redshirt senior right-hander for Florida Gulf Coast who brings a big, projectable body and real velocity potential; recruiting profiles list him at 6-foot-6, 228 pounds with a top fastball around 94 mph and a hard-breaking mix. In 2024, he struck out 44 batters in 41.2 innings, showing bat-missing ability, and in 2026 he has been used in both starts and relief. The fit question is command: recent box scores show traffic and walks have been an issue, but if a staff wants upside and mound presence, he’s the kind of tall, intimidating arm that can change an inning fast.
