UTSA’s JJ Sparkman brings size, experience, and outside-weapon upside
Sparkman is a big-bodied, experienced transfer receiver who gives UTSA a physical target on the perimeter; in the 2024 season he caught 7 passes for 78 yards after posting 14 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown at Texas Tech in 2022, and his college résumé also shows special-teams value and enough play strength to handle traffic. He fits best as a complementary outside WR with proven game experience, but his recent production has been modest, so the appeal is more about size, blocking, and developmental upside than star-level statistical output.[3][4][5]
