Costarelli brings a left-handed strikeout profile to ETSU, but the early 2026 command line is still settling in
Thomas Costarelli is a 5-foot-11 left-handed pitcher for ETSU who arrived with real strikeout pedigree, including a strong 2025 high-school season at East Islip (4-1, 1.44 ERA, 65 K in 44 innings), but his early 2026 college results have been uneven, with a 7.83 ERA, 17 strikeouts and 8 walks in 23 innings. He profiles as a competitive southpaw who can miss bats and give a staff a different look, but the current fit depends on whether his consistency and command continue to tighten as he adjusts to Division I hitters.
