Wright State’s Freshman-of-the-Year spark plug with real bat-to-ball pop
In the 2026 season, Holmstrom broke out fast for Wright State, winning Horizon League Freshman of the Year and hitting .358 with a .424 on-base percentage in 50 games, then earning weekly league honors after a .538 week and another after a .600 week. He stands out for advanced plate discipline, steady contact, and sneaky power — including his first collegiate homer on May 9, 2026 — while also being a near-lock at first base with a .997 fielding percentage. If you want a tough, productive lefty bat with upside, he’s a compelling fit.
