Reliable floor-spacer who quietly did a little of everything for Fordham
In the 2018-19 season, Portley was Fordham’s third-year guard and a steady two-way connector: he averaged 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 89 assists, and 22 steals while leading the team with 69 made three-pointers, then followed with 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 54 assists, and 22 steals in his senior season[1][3]. The appealing part is the blend: he can shoot, handle, and defend, and the production suggests a mature, low-drama guard who raised Fordham’s shot-making ceiling. If a roster wants an experienced combo guard with veteran poise and perimeter gravity, he fits the bill.
