Shaymiah Bailey brings efficient frontcourt scoring and glass-cleaning grit to UNCP
Bailey is a 5-foot-11 forward/center who has already shown she can impact winning with efficient scoring, rebounding, and physical interior play. In UNCP’s 2025-26 season opener at Longwood, she posted 10 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes on 4-of-6 shooting, and earlier in the season she produced 13 points and 6 rebounds off the bench against Belmont Abbey.[1][5] Her high-school profile backs up the upside: she was a major rebounder and shot-blocker, and earned All-Conference, team MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year honors, suggesting a high-motor, two-way fit for teams needing frontcourt toughness.[3][11]
