Jamaria Freeman brings two-way juice and playmaking pop for UNC Asheville
In the 2025-26 season, UNC Asheville guard Jamaria Freeman has been a do-everything freshman engine, averaging 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game while logging 28.7 minutes and earning multiple Big South Freshman of the Week honors.[1][8][9][10] The stat sheet says she can score, distribute and disrupt; the scouting tea is that her real value is her defensive activity, downhill pressure and willingness to shoulder responsibility even when the shot isn’t falling—she’s still developing efficiency, but the competitiveness is loud.
