Reece Bueno brings polished strike-throwing and late-action stuff to USD’s bullpen
Bueno is a right-handed pitcher who looks like a usable college arm because he pairs a solid fastball with a sharp slider and a changeup that give him a starter’s mix; recruiting reports also note whiffs, purposeful cut/sink, and polish rather than raw overpowering velocity. In prep, he was a two-way standout at Redwood, and at Cal Poly he logged 21 innings with 20 strikeouts over his first two college seasons before transferring to San Diego, suggesting a competitive, adaptable profile worth watching for teams needing a reliable strike-thrower with some pitchability and upside.
