Israel Hart brings scoring punch, steals, and playmaking to Southern Miss
Hart enters Southern Miss as a guard with a proven two-way résumé: in 2024-25 at UCO, he averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 120 assists, and 65 steals while shooting 37.9% from three, showing he can score, create, and disrupt lanes. At Southern Miss in 2025-26, his production has been more modest so far, but he still contributes as a secondary handler and defensive pest, with a high free-throw touch (86.3% career at USM) and a willingness to compete every possession. He looks like a fit for teams needing intensity, ball pressure, and a guard who can make winning hustle plays.[5][1][2]
