Davis Wright is Western Carolina’s lefty tone-setter and a preseason All-SoCon arm
In the 2025 season, Davis Wright gave Western Carolina a workhorse left-hander profile: 15 starts, 86.0 innings, 88 strikeouts, and a .267 opponent batting average, which earned preseason All-SoCon first-team recognition for 2026. He looks like the kind of starter who can miss bats and survive deep into games, with a knack for strikeouts looking and enough toughness to handle heavy pitch counts. The one knock: his 2025 run prevention was uneven, so he fits best if your team wants a competitive, innings-eating southpaw with swing-and-miss upside rather than a polished ace-in-training.
