Leighton Harris is Kentucky’s hometown lefty with real SEC upside
In the 2026 season, Kentucky LHP Leighton Harris has already shown he can be trusted in meaningful spots, appearing in 19 games and earning his first career save at No. 10 Auburn; after a freshman year that featured 12.1 innings, a 3.65 ERA, and 12 strikeouts in 2025, his appeal is the combination of left-handed feel, strike-throwing, and a live fastball that has been reported up to 92 mph. His path matters too: he overcame an ACL injury in high school, which adds some toughness-and-grit credibility to the profile. If a staff wants a competitive, versatile arm with local-star energy and room to keep climbing, he fits nicely.
