Caleb Champion brings speed, center-field range, and sneaky on-base value for SEMO
In the 2025 season, Caleb Champion appeared in 33 games for Southeast Missouri State and hit .260 with 13 hits, 7 RBIs, 7 runs, and 5 stolen bases, then in the 2026 season he posted a .200 average across limited action while drawing 3 walks and going 2-for-2 on steals. His best traits are athleticism, defensive versatility in the outfield, and a left-handed bat that has shown flashes of gap-and-run impact; he also earned praise early for starting fast in center field and producing multi-hit and multi-RBI games. He looks like a useful fit for a team needing defense, speed, and upside over loud power.
