tough, savvy UMES guard who brings veteran poise
Thomas Rivera is a compact, high-IQ guard whose value comes from steady playmaking, on-ball defense, and veteran savvy rather than flashy scoring. In his 2016-17 season at Maryland Eastern Shore, he averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 assists per game, while earlier he was described as a tough, savvy scoring point guard who “doesn’t back down” and is a first-rate on-ball defender. If your team needs a disciplined guard who competes hard, organizes the offense, and sets a physical tone, Rivera is the kind of glue-piece coachs love.
