NAU’s freshman guard who already looks built for Big Sky battles
In the 2025-26 season, Chris Komin emerged as a steady two-way freshman for Northern Arizona, averaging 7.8 points, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals while leading the Lumberjacks in assists and steals. He’s more than a box-score guard: Komin shot 46.1% overall, 35.7% from three and 81.8% at the line, then flashed real upside in conference play with 10.8 points per game and a 40.4% clip from deep. His biggest selling points are poise, toughness and playmaking—plus a knack for big moments, including a 34-point near-upset performance and a 24-point outing that turned heads.
