Marquise Lightfoot is Miami’s long, explosive edge piece with disruptive upside
Lightfoot entered Miami as a highly regarded defensive line prospect and has already flashed as a true freshman, appearing in nine games in 2024 and recording a quarterback hurry, while ESPN lists him on Miami’s roster and EA SPORTS College Football gives him a 77 rating in 2026. At 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, his appeal is his length, burst, and edge-rush upside rather than raw production, which is still developing. He looks like a strong fit for a team that wants a high-ceiling, developmental DL who can win with athleticism, pressure potential, and special-teams value early.
