Chase Jarnagin brings left-handed depth and local familiarity to Charleston’s mound staff
Jarnagin is a **junior left-handed pitcher** for the College of Charleston who profiles as a developmental arm with size, local roots, and a versatile background from Oceanside Collegiate and earlier junior-college work. Charleston lists him at **6'1", 195** and notes he is from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, while earlier recruiting/profile data showed a smaller frame and a fastball that reached the low-70s, suggesting his value is tied more to projection and feel than pure velocity.[5][8][1] In limited 2026 usage, the stat line has been rough, but his fit is as a **depth piece** with room to grow if the pitch mix and command continue to improve.[2][4]
