Tyler Cox is Houston’s steady, all-fields shortstop with a senior-level clutch factor
In the 2026 season, Tyler Cox has been a lock in the lineup for Houston, hitting .320 with 62 hits, 21 RBIs and 15 multi-hit games while starting 54 of 55 games, which tells you exactly why coaches trust him: reliability, contact skill and everyday toughness. He’s more than a stat line, though—Cox earned All-Silver Glove Series shortstop honors in 2025, has handled shortstop every day, and has shown up in big spots with extra-base hits and go-ahead production. If you want a polished INF who brings stability, competitiveness and a calm, veteran presence, he fits the bill.
