Tim Hartman gives Delaware a durable, strikeout-capable righty look
In the 2025 season, Tim Hartman appeared in 12 games and made seven starts for Delaware, logging 30.2 innings with 28 strikeouts while delivering six scoreless relief outings, a profile that suggests a starter/spot-swing arm with real bat-missing upside[1]. His earlier junior-college résumé was loud too: 16-1 with 148 strikeouts in 118.1 innings at Gloucester Community College, which points to a pitcher who competes and attacks rather than just survives[1][2]. The red flag is consistency and run prevention—he was tagged for 21 earned runs in 21.2 innings in 2025 by stat-tracking data, and he also took a rough outing in a 2025 loss at Towson[1][5]. If a staff wants a seasoned right-hander with experience, strikeout juice, and a track record of heavy innings, Hartman fits; if it wants a polished, low-risk weekend anchor, he still looks more like an upside bet than a finished product[1][5].
