Colin Hayes is turning Valpo’s TE room into a legitimate red-zone weapon
In the 2025 season, Valparaiso tight end Colin Hayes played in 12 games, made two starts, and posted 11 catches for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a season-best 52 receiving yards and clutch late-game two-point conversions in a comeback win over Stetson. At 6'6" and 235 pounds in 2025, he brings rare catch radius, usable size, and a red-zone mismatch profile that coaches love. The appeal is simple: he’s already showing he can deliver in money moments, which makes him the kind of TE who can quietly change a game.
