Danny Castillo is a high-upside bullpen arm for Iona with late-inning poise
In the 2026 season, Danny Castillo gave Iona a useful right-handed relief look, highlighted by earning his first collegiate save and finishing a March 17 win by shutting the door in the ninth. The profile here is the classic coach-friendly blend: fresh arm, strike-throwing opportunity, and enough mound trust to be used in leverage. He also brings development upside after arriving from Christopher Columbus High School, so if a team wants a competitive bullpen piece with room to grow, Castillo is worth a hard look.
