
Donte Utu brings physical, versatile upside to Stanford’s secondary
Utu is a 6'1", 170-pound freshman safety who arrived at Stanford as a top-20 Hawaii recruit and the state’s top-ranked safety, with a reputation for aggressive tackling, good reads, and ball skills that showed up in high school with nearly 140 tackles, seven interceptions, and 14 pass breakups over his final two seasons. He also offers some nickel flexibility and has played with a competitive edge, making him a fit if your team wants a developmental defensive back who can impact run support and takeaways while he adds college-level polish.
