James Baker Jr. brings size, toughness, and leadership to the Seahawks’ backcourt
In the 2021-22 season, James Baker Jr. was a high-impact transfer for UNCW, ranking fifth on the team in scoring at 7.4 points per game and second in rebounding at 4.3 while also leading the Seahawks with 49 blocks. He was described by UNCW’s coach as a winner, a strong communicator, and a tough, physical inside-out player who could guard multiple frontcourt spots and energize teammates on both ends. If your team wants a versatile, vocal, defense-first competitor who does the little things and bends games with intensity, Baker checks a lot of boxes.
