Daelen Alexander’s 2025 breakout: efficient, explosive, and just getting warmed up
After returning from a 2024 injury, Alexander turned in a strong 2025 season at Rice, rushing for 392 yards and 3 touchdowns on 74 carries while averaging 5.3 yards per carry, a sign of dependable efficiency rather than empty volume. His profile points to a compact, downhill back with legit speed from his track background, and the key differentiator is upside: he proved he can bounce back from injury and still deliver quality production. He looks like a useful fit for a team that wants a physical runner who can create chunk gains without needing heavy usage.
